Until August 25, 2012 publishers can submit their answers to the annual AffiliateBenchmarks™ survey, which last year gathered insights from over 8,500 individuals working within our industry.
We caught up with Peter Figueredo, Founding Partner of NetX, whose research division is known as AffiliateBenchmarks to learn more about the ethos of the study and how surveys like this are helping to shape the performance marketplace.
When did you first launch the AffiliateBenchmarks survey and what drove the decision to invest resource in this channel?
“When we first launched five years ago, we saw a need in the industry for collective learning and data. We wanted to build strategies and make educated decisions based upon facts, rather than just on a hunch. “
For those that may be unfamiliar with your annual research project, what is the main aim of the AffiliateBenchmarks survey?
“Great question! At its core, the goal of AffiliateBenchmarks is to provide best practices, actionable insights, and trends to the affiliate marketing community. In addition, we want this study to strengthen relationships between affiliates and merchants.”
