Kimi Who?One of the many bloggers joining the Affiliate Window network in 2015 include Kimi Who, a self-proclaimed geeky lifestyle blogger based in Charleston, SC. While originally blogging about popular British TV and home decor, she quickly discovered the affiliate channel and opportunity to earn money from her hobby.

Kimi’s blogging goals eventually turned into a passion to teach fellow bloggers how to easily monetize their sites through affiliate links. With little education of the channel and an overwhelming load of questions from other bloggers, Kimi created the impressive Affiliate Window Guide, encompassing all steps to join the network, generate affiliate links and start making money!

Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday 2015

BF&CM-Infographic-US2014 saw Black Friday cement itself as the key trading day in the run up to Christmas. Following the buzz of the 2015 Cyber Weekend, we have analyzed data across our 1600 advertisers on the network, and the following infographic details a mega-shopping weekend, where the network sales revenue was over $159m.

Highlights from Black Friday 2015:

♦ During the peak hour sales hit 600 per minute and clicks hit 379,000 across the hour
♦  Year-on-year sales revenue growth of 46.7%
♦  Department stores drove 19.2% of the sales volume
♦  Desktop sales peaked between 10:00-11:00am, with smartphone sales peaking between 8:00-9:00am and tablets 21:00-22:00

Highlights from Cyber Monday 2015:

♦  In contrast to Black Friday, sales and traffic peaked during evening hours; desktop, smartphone and tablet sales peaked between 21:00-22:00
♦  Coupon code affiliates owned the day with 33% of sales driven by them
♦  Department stores and fashion retailers performed strongly

Affiliate Marketing is Rocketing in the US

One thing is for sure – affiliate marketing is booming in the United States. In 2015 so far, affiliate marketing accounts for 14% of all e-commerce purchases across the United States. This number is 1% higher than last year, placing affiliate marketing on a near-level with other, more popular channels, including email which accounts for 17% and organic search, 19%.

Affiliate Window’s own global client strategy director, Kevin Edwards, explains that focusing on transparency, ethics, self-regulation and customer quality can build trust amongst clients and ensure the affiliate marketing channels future growth.
